Mechdyne’s Community Contribution Program provides direct contributions and sponsorships to select charitable organizations that make a difference in the lives of people in our communities, including:

Albion Library

Mechdyne contributed to the fundraising efforts of the Albion Municipal Library’s building project. We’re pleased to have played a role in the construction of the new Library. Patrons in the Marshalltown and outlying areas will benefit from resources that inform, educate and enrich their lives.

East Marshall High School

Mechdyne helped to make a difference in education! A member of the Mechdyne Service Team volunteered time to provide service and maintenance to the computer system at East Marshall High School!

Friends of the Marshalltown Public Library

The Friends of Marshalltown Public Library is a not-for-profit corporation established in 1997.

The mission of Friends is to support and promote the programs, resources, and services of Marshalltown Public Library. The Friends organization solicits gifts, endowments, and bequests for the benefit of the library. The organization been instrumental in planning for a new library building since spring of 2000.

Mechdyne's contribution to the new library building fund benefits the kids and the community of Marshalltown.

Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario, Waterloo Region
Kitchener, ON, Canada

Mechdyne Canada staff participated in the 5th Annual Curling for Heart Bonspiel to raise money to fund life-saving heart disease and stroke research in Ontario. Over 250 research teams across Ontario, including four in Waterloo Region depend on the Heart and Stroke Foundation to fund their life-saving research. This research is becoming more increasingly important since heart disease and stroke is the number one cause of death in Canada.

Iowa River Hospice

For nearly 25 years, Iowa River Hospice has been committed to providing sensitive and caring support to address the special needs of those with life-limiting illnesses and their families.

Mechdyne's compassion towards Iowa River Hospice patients and their families will benefit from the shelter of compassion for life's changing seasons.

Marshalltown Community College

The Marshalltown Community College strives to provide the best possible environment for student-athletes so they can succeed academically, athletically, and socially. Each year, the College distributes athletic scholarships to support student-athletes. Mechdyne's contribution to the athletic scholarship fund helps student-athletes pursue a college education while developing their athletic abilities.

The Marshalltown Community Theatre received funding from Mechdyne to help bring quality live theatre to the citizens of Marshalltown and surrounding communities.

Marshalltown Community YMCA’s Partner with Youth Campaign

Mechdyne contributed to the Marshalltown Community YMCA/YWCA’s Partner with Youth Campaign. The Campaign was created so that children and families can participate in and benefit from the YMCA/YWCA’s programs – and grow to be healthy, active and productive citizens in the Marshalltown community. Our contribution allows the YMCA/YWCA to provide membership scholarships to children and families who could not otherwise become members due to lack of funds. Mechdyne’s donation has made a positive impact on the lives of kids and families in the Marshalltown area.

MIW, Inc.

The mission of MIW, Inc. is to provide vocational training and employment services for individuals with disabilities to help them obtain their desired goals. Mechdyne provided support to the Technology Project at MIW, Inc. to help upgrade the computer system to help individuals enrolled in the program to be successful.

Special Olympics Iowa
Special Olympics National Games

Mechdyne supported the efforts of the first Special Olympics National Games scheduled for July 2006. Approximately 3,500 Special Olympics athletes, 14,000 coaches and volunteers and 10,000 family members from across the United States are expected to attend the event in Ames, Iowa.

St. Paul's Preschool
Marshalltown, IA, USA

St. Paul's Preschool is one of the longest running preschools in Marshalltown, Iowa. It has a long history of success in helping kids socialize, adapt to structure, and learn the basics of early education. St. Paul's is committed to offering this education to all kids, regardless of income. Mechdyne supported the preschool by contributing to the school's scholarship fund to provide a better education and start to a young person's life.

The Salvation Army, Community and Family Services - Kitchener

Mechdyne Canada staff generously donated various gifts to The Salvation Army so that children and their families could better experience the holiday season.
