The PLEX is a large-scale, high-resolution visualization system designed with three or more faceted and angled screens. This configuration creates an immersive, theater-like environment similar to what can be achieved with curved screens but with some distinctive features. The projected images are edge-matched, not blended, so each screen offers full projector resolution for maximum detail when the image spans all screens. Resolution can be increased exponentially by tiling projectors on each screen. The faceted configuration also allows for different images, even from multiple computing platforms, to be displayed on particular screens.

The PLEX is available with front or rear projection, soft, semi-rigid, or rigid screens, and folded optics to reduce overall system footprint. The resolution on all or individual screens can be scaled higher by applying multiple, blended projectors on each screen.
