Command & Control

Our capabilities range from the provision solution consultation, D&E (design and engineering) contract services for new center layout and RFP requirements, as well as complete command and control center integration, installation and support. We can apply the newest technologies that can improve planning, directing, coordinating and controlling personnel, information and operations toward the accomplishment of shared objectives.

Below are some examples of Mechdyne's adaptable products and wide range of visualization solutions for command and control applications :

We have experience with critical, real-time source management, scaleable display and information control technologies as well as distance collaboration systems. We provide it as a turn-key solution and have a global technical support team that operates 24/7 like you do.

Display Systems

  • The newest extreme resolution projection engines like Quad HD projection system with incredible 4096x2160 resolution. We can exponentially increase resolution by tiling these and other displays to create real-time walls that will help you quickly identify co-related information.

In one project, we integrated eighteen SXRD projectors into one 37’ high wall that utilizes a combination of monoscopic and stereoscopic 3D viewing.

If large scale projection is not best for your command and control center's requirements, we are equally experienced installing stackable, rear-projection cubes that quickly and cleanly create scaleable command and control center displays.

  • Dynamic multi-windowing technologies that can import up to 64 different sources into one display area, allowing you to rapidly select, move, expand and categorize data in ways you had not though possible. We provide intuitive control interfaces so you can quickly and easily access and focus on the information that is important at the time you need it.
  • Expertise in 3D visualization environments. We are experts in stereoscopic visualization technology. While not all applications will benefit from 3D models and data, we are the best to serve those that do – or assess whether or not this technology may be of value. We currently have research contracts with several organizations to help assess the value of stereoscopic viewing in command and control situations.

Information and Image Sources

  • High resolution video conferencing. See more and understand better with clearer, sharper images that show all the subtleties.
  • Fiber optic experience to create high bandwidth signal transfer from your sources to the main displays without loss of data integrity.
  • PC cluster design, configuration and integration. We designed and installed the world’s largest graphics PC cluster at Iowa State University for the 100 million pixel C6 where the Battlespace project is underway developing real-time monitoring and control techniques for Unmanned Aerial Vehicle squadrons (link to ISU page on Battlespace).
  • Data fusion software, vGeo allows multi-source data to be merged into one file for real-time review or presentation. Combine satellite data, sensor data, stills, video and audio into one PC cluster compatible format that can be shared from the desktop to tiled walls to immersive virtual reality environments.
