Fakespace, Inc. Expands Management Team, Names Jim Angelillo President

Addition of Veteran Manager Strengthens Executive Team, Sets Company On Path to Broaden Leadership in Immersive Display and 3D Visualization Markets

Mountain View, CA - March 2, 1998 - Fakespace, Inc. today announced that it has named Jim Angelillo as president. The addition of Angelillo, who has extensive experience in product market development, strengthens the management team of Fakespace and positions the company for continued leadership in the growing market for immersive display and interactive 3D visualization technologies.

The 39-year-old Angelillo was most recently the president and chief executive officer of Pyramid Systems, Inc. of Southfield, Mich., a company he co-founded in 1989. He was instrumental in establishing the company’s 3D visualization and immersive display business unit, which marketed products developed by the University of Illinois at Chicago.

This team established Fakespace as the leading developer of commercially available tools for viewing and interacting with virtual worlds, including the award-winning BOOM, PUSH™ and Immersive WorkBench™ displays and the PINCH™ hand gesture interface system. Angelillo brings 17 years of experience in sales, marketing and executive management at companies serving the imaging and visualization markets to his new role at Fakespace. Prior to founding Pyramid, he was with Roscor Corp., a Chicago-based supplier of broadcast television systems. He was also vice president of sales and marketing for Video Concepts, a Southfield, Mich., supplier of projection-based presentation systems. In each of his previous positions, he has developed strong customer and supplier relationships and held responsibility for building global business for high-technology product lines.
