Explosive Growth Fuels Several Key-Market Hires Mechdyne Announces Houston Offices;Additional Services for Growing Markets Marshalltown, IA - July 26, 2000 - Mechdyne Corporation announced today the opening of a Houston office and the expansion of Detroit-based operations. The addition of the Houston office will provide industry-specific expertise to support tremendous growth in the petroleum industry. Mechdyne will also expand their Detroit offices to include technical service personnel for automotive and Detroit-based clientele. Mary Cole, a ten-year employee of the Atlantic Richfield Company (ARCO), has been hired to lead Houston operations. Cole held several key positions with ARCO, most recently as senior geophysicist and as the company's principal visualization software developer. Cole is a well-known pioneer in the development of large-scale visualization tools and software for oil and gas exploration. She was also a member of an ARCO research team that developed original software for one of the world's first large-scale visualization environments. "Mary Cole is a perfect fit for Mechdyne's core infrastructure. She brings solid skills in virtually every aspect of visualization technology - from knowledge in software and application development, to visualization tools, to hardware, to the oil and gas market. She is also internationally recognized in the visualization community," said James Gruening, Vice President of Worldwide Technical Services and Integration.
