VRCO Names Dr. Glen Wheless as CEO and President Virginia Beach, VA - October 11, 2002 - VRCO, Inc., a leading provider of immersive visualization solutions, has named Dr. Glen Wheless to the positions of CEO and President of the Virginia Beach based company. He succeeds Jim Costigan in these roles who stepped down in September of this year. Mr. Costigan has taken on the position of Chief Marketing Officer to better concentrate his efforts on the sales and marketing fronts of the company. VRCO's other co-founders Matt Szymanski, Chief Technology Officer, and Dr. Cathy Lascara, Chief Operating Officer, continue to serve in their respective positions. Since mid-2000, Wheless served as Executive Vice President at VRCO with a focus on business development for the Federal Systems segment. A 1978 graduate of the US Naval Academy and former Naval Flight Officer flying the F14, Wheless previously served as the CTO for Digital Environmental Solutions, a 3D visualization applications software firm, and as the Director of the Virtual Environments Laboratory at Old Dominion University.
