VRCO Supports Intel at National Youth Leadership Forum Technology Showcase San Jose, CA - July 27, 2003 - VRCO recently supported Intel's sponsorship of the National Youth Leadership Forum (NYLF) Technology Showcase. The NYLF is an annual 10-day program for high school upperclassmen/women with a demonstrated aptitude in technology. This year, over 1,600 students from around the country attended the forum in San Jose, CA. The showcase, held on the first day of the forum, exhibited new and exciting technologies that Intel and its partners are enabling. VRCO demonstrated vGeo™, its scientific visualization software, on a passive stereo display system driven by a Hewlett-Packard Itanium-2 workstation. "vGeo's ability to present complex data in a manner that is understandable to a wide audience was perfect for this group," said John Holdzkom, vGeo Product Manager. "The students were able to observe and understand a suite of data collected and simulated by NASA scientists." The students were very aware of the latest technological advancements and appreciated the fact that this technology is now available on personal workstations in contrast to the need, only a few years ago, for supercomputers to obtain the equivalent computing power. Following the technology showcase, Craig Barrett, CEO of Intel, gave the opening keynote speech and kicked off the week-long forum of seminars, workshops, and hands-on learning. VRCO is very pleased to have participated in the forum by supporting Intel and contributing to the students’ educational experience. ### About Mechdyne Corporation Mechdyne Corporation is the world’s largest company dedicated to consulting and development of immersive, networked and collaborative visualization systems.
