vGeo 2.1 Adds Customer-Requested Features Virginia Beach, VA - October 10, 2003 - VRCO, Inc. announces the latest release of its three-dimensional (3D) visual analysis software system: vGeo 2.1—Virtual Global Explorer and Observatory. Designed for intuitive visualization of large 3D data sets, version 2.1 marks a significant upgrade to this powerful software. Many new user-requested features have been added and a number of graphical interfaces simplify the process of creating compelling visualizations from multiple, complex data sets. With these enhancements, plus expanded data format compatibilities, the visualization process is now almost entirely point-and-click. New data presentation features have also been added, strengthening vGeo’s “Exploration to Presentation”TM capabilities, which support data exploration and data presentation using the same software. "Our cross-platform release of version 2.0 broadened our customer base, and version 2.1 is a result of feedback we gained from those customers,” said Dr. John Holdzkom, vGeo Product Manager. “With several new GUI interfaces and new data format compatibilities, we have significantly reduced the learning curve involved in transforming raw data into easily understood visualizations.” Some of the new capabilities include MPEG capture, non-orthogonal slices, and compatibility with HDF and Vis5D files. For a complete list of new and existing capabilities, visit the vGeo web page at www.mechdyne.com/integratedSolutions/software/products/vgeo/vgeo.htm. vGeo 2.1 is available for Linux, Windows and IRIX operating systems. Full vGeo functionality is available on a spectrum of systems, from high-end immersive displays to desktop workstations, and VRCO offers bundled hardware/software packages. Multiple seat server and cluster licenses are also available. ### About Mechdyne Corporation Mechdyne Corporation is the world’s largest company dedicated to consulting and development of immersive, networked and collaborative visualization systems.
