Mechdyne Expands Global Service Team for Advanced Visualization Systems Promotion of Cliff Gates to Global Service Manager and Personnel Additions Improve Mechdyne's Ability to Support Any Visualization System, Anywhere Marshalltown, IA – February 11, 2008 – Mechdyne Corporation today announced the appointment of Cliff Gates to the position of Global Service Manager, responsible for expanding the company's capability to support immersive 3D and advanced visualization systems used by academic, commercial, and government organizations. Mechdyne, which provides service both for systems it designs and installs and on a contract basis, also is adding personnel to its dedicated service team in positions around the world. Gates led Mechdyne’s North America service team for five years and has more than sixteen years experience with key components of visualization systems, including multiple types of projectors, blending technologies, and related peripherals. In his new capacity as Global Service Manager, Gates will develop the company’s standard service offerings and tailor programs to specific customer needs at locations across North America, Europe and in Asia-Pacific. Mechdyne services systems installed by any large scale visualization provider, based on years of experience with projection technology from Barco, Christie, Digital Projection, Sony, JVC, Sanyo and other suppliers. System expertise also extends into user control systems from Crestron and AMX, fiber and video switching from companies like Logical Solutions, and PC cluster and application software troubleshooting. “Cliff played a key role in establishing what we believe is the world’s largest dedicated team of experts for maintenance and service of large scale virtual reality and immersive systems, which has helped us win and retain business around the world,” said Chris Clover, President and CEO of Mechdyne. “As more organizations look to visualization as a tool to explore and work with complex data sets, Mechdyne has the opportunity to be recognized as a leading provider of support and service to maximize the value of visualization systems over years of use.” In Asia, Mechdyne also announced the appointment of Mr. Ting Liew as Service Technician in Malaysia, where he will lead service programs for customers in Southeast Asia and China.
