Mechdyne provided one of the world's highest resolution visualization rooms for the Advanced Simulation and Computing (ASC) Program at Los Alamos National Laboratory.
The walk-in immersive environment incorporates 33 digital projectors, a Vicon motion tracking system, and an SGI Origin 3900 stocked with 34 ATI FireGL graphics processors to form a 43-megapixel, five-screen system. The system, named "La Cueva Grande," was designed to fit within the constraints of a 30'x30,' two-story space.
Mechdyne also provides a full-time, on-site service and support technician at Los Alamos.
