Marshalltown, IA, February 2015 - Mechdyne received the 2015 Excellence in Business Award from the National Systems Contractors Association (NSCA). With a total of six categories, Mechdyne was recognized for Employee Engagement.
Mechdyne University, a program set up for teammates to attain additional training, education, and experience is one of the reasons Mechdyne won the Employee Engagement category. Not only does Mechdyne University help individuals achieve their goals, it ultimately advances the company as a whole. As Mechdyne achieves strategic goals and tactics, the entire team, from the executive level to the engineering technicians, celebrates with monthly socials and communicates successes through an internal website for remote teammates.
As described by senior vice president Jim Gruening, Mechdyne delves into many different areas and industries to solve customer issues. “The exciting thing regarding the Engagement Award is that it is not industry specific,” says Gruening. “Everyone’s input and feedback is critical for our success whether we are working on AV/IT optimization, software development, support services, or integration. In all areas, our teammate engagement has been a key contributing factor in our record customer satisfaction levels.”
Mechdyne’s teammates are highly engaged and aligned with corporate culture. They continually strive to improve based upon internal feedback, customer input, and industry best practices provided by organizations such as the NSCA. “We hire for attitude and train for skill,” says Gruening. “I couldn’t be more proud of our team and it’s a pleasure to be part of it.”
Other categories in the Excellence in Business Awards included Customer Experience, Talent Development, Differentiating Strategies, Business Performance, and Strategic Transformation. Recipients will receive their awards and participate in a panel discussion next week at the annual 2015 NSCA Business and Leadership Conference.
