Glynco, Georgia – October 2015
The Federal Law Enforcement Training Center (FLETC) hosted a Demo Day this week to help more than 90 partner agencies explore the latest training and simulation technologies. Mechdyne teammate Doug Betts attended Demo Day to discuss how Mechdyne’s customized AV/IT solutions provide realistic simulation environments and enable real-time collaboration for a variety of government agencies. “These various law enforcement agencies are engaging Mechdyne to better understand how to integrate diverse technologies into a single solution,” says Betts. “They were impressed with how Mechdyne focuses on a client’s goals to create a customized solution that satisfies a variety of training requirements.
FLETC’s Glynco campus has 18 firearm ranges, including a state-of-the-art indoor range complex and eight highly versatile, semi-enclosed ranges. Numerous training ranges, physical techniques facilities, and explosives range support the FLETC’s training efforts. The campus uniquely features a 34-building “neighborhood” used for practical exercises. FLETC equipped all the buildings with video cameras to record trainees’ abilities and techniques.
