In today’s day and age, it can seem increasingly difficult to get a good return on investment when purchasing an AV system. With the rate at which technology changes and advances it seems like as soon as the system is installed, it’s time to upgrade.

However, with a good maintenance plan, and the right spare parts cache, you can extend the life of your system considerably – even past a manufacturer’s warranty dates.

One of our longest-running systems is over a decade old it uses Christie Mirage S+4K projectors. Although display technology has changed considerably in the past 10 years, the system meets the client’s required functionality, and Mechdyne is able to keep it running by using spare parts as well as regular maintenance visits.

This has provided the client with an exceptional return on investment and this also alleviated the need to upgrade every few years as technology changes.

Often when purchasing AV systems, maintenance is one of the first things that gets dropped in the beginning. However, in the long run, this can end up costing more as well as hurting return on investment.

This is why it’s important to consider a maintenance plan from the start as well as spare parts to make sure you get the best return on investment and to make sure your system lasts as long as possible.
