One of the great joys of working with my team in the call center is finding ways to solve problems and very timely manner and help our customers out. One of the great things about working with Mechdyne is they’ve assembled this great collection of tools that allows us to do just that – to be able to find problems many times before the customer knows they have one.
A few months ago, we had an example where, late on a Friday morning, we received a remote alarm through the system indicating a system failure – in a Vice President’s personal conference room. We dispatched a technician up to the room.
He met with the administrative assistant who wasn’t even aware that there was a problem, but she led him into the Vice President’s office. We quickly found the problem, got it resolved, and had the room back to proper operating protocol in a very, very short period of time.
What we didn’t realize was because there was a very important meeting scheduled that afternoon that had this problem occurred during the meeting would have caused the meeting to be an absolute, complete failure. So the takeaway from all of this is by being proactive, sometimes it’ll pay big dividends for you.
