As part of the Library Renewal Project, Ames Public Library had a goal to integrate innovative audiovisual technology to expand collaboration, interaction, and learning opportunities. The library now enables all types of collaboration, from training and demonstrations, to gaming and community events.

Renault's goal was to have an immersive visualization system to assist them in designing high quality, unique cars that maintain their utility. Mechdyne's solution was a high resolution CAVE that allows an individual to virtually sit inside, interact with, and drive a vehicle.

NIOSH's goal was to make mines safer, prevent disasters, and improve emergency response by creating realistic, effective training programs and environments. Mechdyne's solution was a 360 degree virtual environment large enough to fit a mine rescue team and provide a zero-consequence training environment.

ISU's goal was to overcome the limitations and challenges of outdated technology to provide the most immersive, realistic virtual reality environment possible. Mechdyne's solution was a six-sided CAVE with wireless tracking. This technology completely revolutionized immersive virtual reality capabilities, creating new research and design opportunities for departments across the university.

Houston Methodist's goal was to implement the safest and best care for each individual by viewing the clearest image of each patient prior to treatment. Mechdyne's solution was a customized clinical room allowing surgeons and researchers to combine data from CT, MRI, and PET scans to view one clear, comprehensive image.

Villanova's goal was to create a collection of dynamic imagery from locations around the world brought to viewing life in a single, immersive environment. Mechdyne's solution created a flexible, immersive design allowing participants to see a 360 degree view by rotating the virtual world.

University of Wyoming

University of Wyoming

The university's goal was to allow researchers to analyze and visualize complex data to find optimal locations to mine energy resources. Mechdyne's solution was to design, engineer, and integrate a four-sided CAVE, a video wall, and three portable "mini-cave" systems. The research laboratory displays modeled data and allows researchers and students to collaborate in the virtual and immersive environment.

Monash's goal in their never-ending quest for knowledge, was to jump into the Big Data era with both feet, and find a way to support and accelerate collaborative, visualization-led discovery. Mechdyne's solution was a hybrid visualization environment with high resolution, placing students and researchers in the middle of a data and geometry experience.
