Marshalltown, Iowa – March 2018 – Kurt Hoffmeister, Mechdyne’s co-founder, and technologist, will join a panel of aerospace and manufacturing professionals on March 27th at this year’s AeroDef Manufacturing conference in Long Beach, California. The panel will focus on mixed reality—also known as augmented reality—applications and the growing adoption of advanced visualization technology in aerospace and manufacturing.

From the design review process through maintenance, hybrid reality systems enable designers and engineers to collaborate in a large and immersive visualization setting while also interacting with physical aspects outside of the virtual world.

Other panel participants include partners from Raytheon and Lockheed Martin along with experts from Delta Sigma Co., the US Air Force, and the University of New Hampshire.

Mechdyne will also be supporting SME at their booth, number 914, in the Exhibitor Hall from March 27th to the 29th. With our mobile visualization system called the ROVR on display, visitors at the booth can explore SMART manufacturing and aerospace processes in virtual reality. Hoffmeister will help with the demo and explain to visitors firsthand about VR applications.
