Mechdyne is proud to sponsor The Higher Education Campus Alliance for Advanced Visualization (THE CAAV), who is hosting their fourth annual conference this year at Indiana University, Bloomington, October 15th-17th.
The conference theme this year is ‘Show Us The Impact!’ and is a bold call to action for the international members of THE CAAV to present on topics regarding computer architecture and data capture technology, as well as virtual reality and visualization tools. Of significant relevance, this year is the technological and societal impact that the innovative applications have.
The conference will see presentations and discussions on technical, strategic, and scientific topics related to visualization technology.
“Mechdyne is proud to be the founding and ongoing sponsor of THE CAAV,” says James Gruening, Senior Vice President of Mechdyne. “It’s always enlightening to see how CAAV members work and support each other in finding new ways to leverage virtual reality, augmented reality, and visualization systems to advance research and education opportunities.”
The keynote address at THE CAAV fourth annual conference will be delivered by Roy C. Anthony, Ventuz – Vice President of Creative Development and Operations. “I am delighted to be attending THE CAAV this year. Immersive technologies have enabled us to get closer to our datasets, our designs, and our art. XR lets us be more creative and surprising applications and experiences are being developed with immersive technologies leading the way. I look forward to joining the community attending THE CAAV to deliver a presentation where we review how far we have come, and look to inspiring non-traditional applications of XR technologies being adapted by practitioners in parallel industries. I look forward to contributing to the conversation at this year’s conference.”[1]
Anyone who works in or has an interest in advanced visualization, VR and AR are welcome to attend. THE CAAV recently opened its membership to all, public and private sectors.
