Science Communication Utilizing Immersive Display Platforms

Mark SubbaRao leads NASA’s Scientific Visualization Studio and joined Mechdyne for a presentation about how content producers, such as NASA, can efficiently share content with both the informal and formal education communities. Focusing on immersive display platforms such as digital planetariums, Hyperwalls, and spherical displays, Mark spoke on the value of immersion in science communication. Using examples and lessons from his work in the planetarium community, Mark explains the need to adopt standards for content discovery to enable timely, coordinated, and effective scientific communication.
